Wife – Where?
H- Let us go to Manali.
W- No! It is too cold!
H- OK, what about Puri or Vizag?
W- These are too far!
H- OK, then why not Mathura?
W- We are not that old!
H- Fine, can we go to Goa?
W- (Smiled) You are not that young!
H- Amritsar?
W-No, Let us go to one of our holy places.
H-Then Kashi.
W- Ultimately we have too, at old age. Not now.
The discussion never gets concluded. It is not that they do not travel. With so much mutual understanding of each other, they use to visit India Gate, Akshardham via Naida, Kutub Minar in the capital of India etc living in Delhi Are you finding it hilarious?
There is a second part of the story
Wife went to their bedroom of a 1BKH small flat they purchased recently, taking the risk of a big loan on one earning member, to fulfil the most desired wish of their own house. In that room, her 12-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son were studying. Daughter asked ….
Daughter – Mom, why do we discuss where we should go this year? Though we all know that ultimately we are not going anywhere. Whatever plan Daddy makes, you always decline it with some excuses.
Mother – I know. After buying this flat we have a huge loan. Till our loan is over we can not spend money on excursions. However, did you notice how much your father enjoys the discussion? He usually remains depressed nowadays because of so much of responsibilities. He also thinks a lot about your future. However, when we plan a trip, I can see his eyes are glittering. He feels happy. Let us wait for a few years and at least enjoy the planning only till then.
After a week –
Daughter – Daddy, Mom. I googled and made a complete plan. We shall first go to Nainital. From there we shall go to Manali and on return shall go to Dharamshala, Dalhousie one day each and back vis Pathankot.
Daddy – Yes, we shall also go to Lahaul & Spiti. Amazing beauty you will remember for a lifetime.
Mammy – No, No. I do not want to miss Khajjiar. The Switzerland of India. Chamba also.
Daughter – what about if we plan for South India?
……
………
The discussion will continue which will never conclude and love will build up stronger and stronger. Happy family.
